Camp Atwater

Camperships are provided to young people during the summer months for recreational, physical fitness and social development. ULEM subsidizes up to 50% of the fee for 20-25 youth to attend a two-week session at Camp Atwater in New Brookfield, Massachusetts. Camp Atwater is the nation's oldest African-American summer camp owned and operated by the Urban League of Springfield in Springfield, Massachusetts. The mission of Camp Atwater is to assist in the academic and social aspects of the youth’s growth and development by offering a quality residential camp experience within a safe, nurturing and Afrocentric environment away from distractions.
