Interested in a career in the automotive industry? Nationwide, there are 60,000 automotive technician jobs available. These jobs offer pathways to higher skills, livable wages and benefits to support a family in the Boston area.
The Partnership for Automotive Career Education (PACE) prepares students for entry-level automotive technician jobs. PACE is a collaboration involving the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, AACA, Bridgestone Firestone, Direct Tire and Auto, Sullivan Tire, Village Automotive Group, Madison Park Vocational High School and Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, with funding provided by SkillWorks and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Basic Enrollment Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 7th grade level English and 6th grade Math
- Proof of Income
- Completed federal financial aid - FAFSA form for college
- Reading, writing, math, and mechanical aptitude test
- Participation in the PACE selection committee interview
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Commitment to a full-time training program
