The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts (ULEM) has conceptualized, developed and deploys a Thin Client Virtualization Enterprise distributed solution, providing office applications and computer based training software to nonprofits within Boston. The intended design is to deploy an eLearning solution, while offering network administration support, provide data storage and distribute intranet email services to nonprofits within Eastern Massachusetts.
Our project takes a successful business model and applies it to the complexities of the urban nonprofit reality. An underline benefit of such a virtualization enterprise service solution, beyond providing consistent leading-edge technology training to infuse economic self-sufficiency for the constituents we serve, is to funders who can invest in a single technology infrastructure that will support the services across multiple organizations. This is the true realization of the power in collaborations and partnerships, that are envisioned to strengthen the services nonprofits provide and to reduce organizational network support overhead cost, without minimizing quality in any way.
Organizations can reduce IT costs - software installation, licenses, maintenance, support, and upgrades - by simple relying on ULEM's technology team's expertise.
