The Camp Atwater mission:
Our mission is to assist in the academic and social growth and development of youth by offering a quality residential camp experience within a safe, nurturing and Afrocentric environment. The camp's goal is to create experiences that will equip youth with the skills to become happy, healthy, successful contributing adults.
 
 
Camp Atwater, located in New Brookfield, MA, provides six sessions (three boys and three girls) for children ages 8 -15:

Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts offers full and partial scholarships. Scholarships are on a first come first served basis. To be eligible for a scholarship you must adhere to the following:

  • Submit a payment in the amount of $100.00 for each camper. This is a non-refundable registration fee payable to the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.
  • Show proof of income and/or statement of need
  • Attend the Camp Atwater Orientation
 
Camp Atwater Orientations
 
Orientation 1: Wednesday, May 12, 2010, 6:00pm-7:30pm RSVP by May 6, 2010
Orientation 2: Saturday, June 9, 2010, 10:00am-11:30am RSVP by June 2, 2010
 
Camp Atwater and Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts staff will be on hand to introduce the camp and answer any questions. Applications and scholarship forms will also be available at the orientation. All orientations will take place at the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, 88 Warren Street, Roxbury, MA.
